Net Insight and Globecast help EMPA match live motorsport distribution to each event

Stockholm, Sweden – September 28th, 2026 – Net Insight today announced that it is collaborating with Globecast and motorsport media specialist EMPA to scale live distribution across EMPA’s growing portfolio of motorsport events and series. By combining professional IP contribution with satellite, fibre and digital delivery, EMPA can match distribution cost and reach to each event – while keeping the live service reliable, predictable and under control.

The model was put to work at the 2026 ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, where EMPA managed approximately 45 hours of live coverage and around 100 individual streams. Up to four feeds were contributed simultaneously to Globecast using SRT for onward delivery to broadcast and digital takers.

The Nürburgring production builds on more than 300 hours of net ingest time across EMPA events and series using Globecast’s IP, satellite and fibre services.

With around 100 live events each year, EMPA needs a distribution model that can scale down economically just as effectively as it scales up operationally. For smaller events, IP contribution can remove the need for a dedicated uplink facility at the venue, while satellite and fibre remain available where they make operational and commercial sense.

“Every event has a different audience, rights strategy and commercial profile,” said Niko Spaleck, Managing Director, EMPA. “The ability to match the distribution setup to the opportunity helps us reach broadcasters and digital platforms efficiently – whether we are working with a major international event or a smaller production.”

Net Insight’s Nimbra Edge provides IP contribution and digital delivery, as part of Globecast Content Exchange multi-transport orchestration layer, alongside monitoring and control for professional live media transport. This keeps the live service consistent as destinations and delivery methods change, without rebuilding the underlying workflow.

“The challenge is not simply moving video over IP – it is making different distribution models practical to operate within the same service environment,” said Steve MacMurray, Head of Digital Media Development, Globecast. “Combining the Content Exchange “single pane of glass” interface and orchestration layer with Nimbra Edge, lets us adapt how a service is delivered, across multi-transport solutions, without giving up the visibility and control professional live media requires.”

The ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, organized by ADAC Nordrhein e.V. and promoted by Skyline Management, combines more than 50 years of tradition with a scale unmatched in global motorsport. In 2026, a record 352,000 spectators witnessed 161 cars and 584 drivers take on the legendary Nordschleife, while Max Verstappen’s debut only heightened the global attention and helped generate record viewership for the event.

“Live media should not be limited by the economics or architecture of a single delivery method,” said Andreas Eriksson, CEO of Net Insight. “EMPA and Globecast show what that means in practice: the delivery model can change with the event while the live service remains reliable and under control. That can make professional live distribution viable for a broader range of content – and it is at the heart of Open Live Media.”

The companies are now exploring deeper integration between EMPA’s workflows and Globecast Content Exchange for future live events.

Net Insight expands pan-Asian live media trials with Nimbra 1020G

Net Insight expands pan-Asian live media trials with Nimbra 1020G

Stockholm, Sweden – September 28th, 2026 – Net Insight introduces the Nimbra 1020G as a new part of the trial capability within its pan-Asian live media network, giving customers and partners a new way to evaluate best-in-class IP migration, 2110 and JPEG XS workflows, and controlled interconnection between independent operated media environments. The trial capability complements the existing Nimbra 520 flexible media edge and addresses the broad range of real-world customer scenarios across the regional network.

Nimbra 1020 offers a distinct flexible media edge toolkit compared to the Nimbra 520 than Nimbra 520. The Nimbra 520 enables bandwidth-efficient contribution and distributed workflows, while the Nimbra 1020G is particularly suited to customers moving from SDI/ASI and traditional gateway-based infrastructure toward IP, introducing 2110 and JPEG XS at the facility edge, or connecting independently operated media infrastructure. Through the new partner network, these migration and interconnect scenarios can now be evaluated under real-world conditions before deployment.

Similar to the Nimbra 520, the Nimbra 1020G brings this flexible feature suite together in a compact 1U modular form factor, combining ethernet switch, trust boundary and open automation as standard, without requiring core-scale footprint, power consumption and cost at every location.

“We are already seeing a number of Tier 1 projects across APAC where the challenge is not simply whether to move to IP, but how to do it in a practical and cost-efficient way,” said KokLeong Chong, Vice President, APAC at Net Insight. “Nimbra 1020G is a strong fit for those environments. By making it available through our regional trial network, customers can evaluate their migration path, from existing gateway infrastructure toward 2110 and JPEG XS, handoffs between organizations before committing to deployment.”

A key capability available for evaluation is the SMPTE RP 2129 compliant IP Media Trust Boundary, which creates a full IP media-service handoff between independently managed IP networks. Nimbra Trust Boundary fully isolates, monitors and preserves the media flows while securely forwarding and adapting them to the destination network.

Nimbra Trust Boundary fully isolates, monitors and preserves the media flows while securely forwarding and adapting them to the destination network.

“Moving to IP should not mean adding operational boundaries and interoperability limitations,” said Larissa Görner-Meeus, CPO of Net Insight. “With Trust Boundary and Nimbra 1020G, independently operated media environments can dynamically exchange live and linear services while each operation domain remains fully independent and secure. Finally there is a full IP, full interoperable solution for IP media exchange between organizations.”

Nimbra 1020G supports up to 1024 fully monitored Trust Boundary flows, from highly compressed streams to full uncompressed 2110 4K, 64 channels of ST 2110/TR-07 compression and 600 Gbps of lossless Ethernet switching, providing a compact, high-density scale point for facility connectivity, contribution, remote production and controlled interconnect.

Together with Nimbra 520 and Nimbra Edge, the addition of Nimbra 1020G gives Net Insight’s APAC partners a broader environment for demonstrating and validating customer workflows as live media infrastructure evolves from legacy interfaces toward open, controlled IP.

Net Insight will be at Broadcast India and Inter BEE 2026, giving customers and partners an opportunity to discuss their own Broadcast IP migration and interconnect challenges, explore Nimbra 1020G and Trust Boundary, and see how real-world scenarios can be evaluated through the pan-Asian live media network before deployment.

Net Insight launches Zyntai TimeNode Access for resilient timing at distributed edge sites

Net Insight

Net Insight launches Zyntai TimeNode Access for resilient timing at distributed edge sites

Stockholm, Sweden – September 22nd, 2026 – Net Insight today announced Zyntai TimeNode Access, a compact, access-optimized PTP Grandmaster designed to bring resilient timing to distributed edge sites over existing packet infrastructure. Built for 5G, media, power and other mission-critical networks, it combines local GNSS with secure, network-delivered timing without requiring the underlying access network to be PTP-aware.

For many mobile and critical infrastructure operators, distributed sites are connected over leased, third-party or non-PTP-aware transport, making conventional network-based backup to GNSS costly or impractical. Zyntai TimeNode Access removes that barrier by carrying secure, precise time across existing packet infrastructure and establishing standards-based PTP locally at the edge site. This enables operators to strengthen GNSS resilience without redesigning the access network.

Zyntai TimeNode Access complements Net Insight’s existing Zyntai portfolio with an access-optimized platform for much denser distributed deployment. By making resilient timing practical across large numbers of edge sites, it broadens where the Resilient Time Platform can be deployed and expands the commercial opportunity across mobile, media, power and other critical infrastructure networks.

“The challenge is not getting precise time to one site, but doing it reliably and economically across thousands of distributed locations,” said Per Lindgren, Head of Sync at Net Insight. “Operators should be able to add an independent timing source without turning resilience into a network-wide transport upgrade. Zyntai TimeNode Access makes that practical at the access edge.”

Key capabilities include:

  • Resilient time transfer: Four Time Transfer sessions with regional routing, multilink synchronization and TLS/AES encryption and authentication.
  • GNSS resilience options: Multi-constellation GNSS support across the product family, with TN2020M adding L1/L5 multiband reception, OSNMA authentication, jamming detection and advanced spoofing detection and mitigation.
  • Standards-based PTP delivery: Up to 512 PTP clients at full message rate, with support for multiple profiles simultaneously.
  • Broad standards support: ITU-T telecom PTP profiles alongside SMPTE ST 2059-2, AES67, IEEE C37.238 and IEC 61850-9-3 for telecom, media and power applications.
  • Flexible synchronization: 10G/GbE connectivity together with SyncE, PPS, 10 MHz and NTP.
  • Access-optimized design: Passive cooling, dual DC input and PoE Type 3 in a compact 40 × 219 × 181 mm enclosure.
  • Centralized timing visibility and SLA monitoring: Integration with Zyntai Director provides centralized visibility into timing sources, synchronization status and network timing performance across distributed sites, supporting SLA-based operations.

Built for large-scale deployment, Zyntai TimeNode Access can scale to tens of thousands of devices managed through a single orchestration system, reducing manual configuration and enabling operators to manage timing as a network-wide service rather than site by site.

Zyntai TimeNode Access will be offered in two models for different deployment needs. TN2020 is optimized for broad, cost-efficient access deployment, while TN2020M is designed for sites where stronger local GNSS robustness and assurance are required. Both use the same Zyntai network-based timing architecture, allowing operators to choose the level of GNSS capability and assurance required at each site.

Together, the two models extend Net Insight’s Resilient Time Platform to the access edge, allowing operators to match network-delivered timing and local GNSS capability to the resilience requirements of each service and site.

Net Insight and partners establish pan-Asian live media network for real-world Nimbra 520 trials

Net Insight

Net Insight and partners establish pan-Asian live media network for real-world Nimbra 520 trials

Stockholm, Sweden – September 17th, 2026 – Net Insight today announced a new pan-Asian live media network created with its regional partners, giving broadcasters, production companies and media service providers a faster way to evaluate Nimbra 520 in real-world, long-distance workflows before deployment.

The initiative follows strong customer and partner interest in Nimbra 520 across APAC. As live media workflows increasingly span locations, networks and cloud environments, the platform enables customers to validate complete services under real operating conditions while partners demonstrate new applications beyond a traditional local product demo.

A customer visiting a partner in Seoul, for example, can originate a live feed locally and send it through Nimbra 520 to Singapore, China or Australia, experiencing picture quality, latency, reliability and service performance across a regional workflow. Nimbra Edge provides centralized provisioning, orchestration and monitoring, while extending the environment into cloud-based processing and value-added services.

“For customers, being able to test a live workflow across regional distances before deployment makes the evaluation much more meaningful,” said Kim YoungKi, Senior Vice President of Sales, Sanam Technology Inc. “It gives our customers a practical way to experience performance and operational control in an environment much closer to how they will actually use the technology.”

Built around Net Insight’s Singapore presence and partner ecosystem across North Asia, Southeast Asia, Greater China, ANZ and South Asia, the network can expand as more partners and markets connect and additional Net Insight capabilities are added. Shared infrastructure for contribution, distribution, distributed production and customer trials reduces the time, infrastructure and complexity needed to move from product interest to meaningful technical validation.

“Together with our partners, we are bringing real-world validation much closer to the customer while creating a shared platform to explore new workflows, value-added services and business models,” said KokLeong Chong, VP Sales, APAC at Net Insight.

Nimbra 520 provides high-density HEVC and AVC processing and low-latency connectivity across managed IP and the public internet. Nimbra Edge adds orchestration and service capabilities across on-premises and cloud resources, including transcoding, format conversion, regionalization and ad insertion, helping customers and partners localize, regionalize and monetize live content within the same workflow.

Net Insight brings cloud-native live media orchestration to Oracle Marketplace

Net Insight

Net Insight brings cloud-native live media orchestration to Oracle Marketplace

Stockholm, Sweden – September 10th, 2026 – Net Insight today announced that its cloud-native live media orchestration is now available through Oracle Cloud Marketplace, providing broadcasters, production companies, and media service providers with a more direct path to deploy control plane and data plane capabilities on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The new Oracle Cloud Marketplace availability can help simplify how customers launch live media workflows and expand them across regions, marking a step in Net Insight’s Open Live Media strategy. Powered by Net Insight’s Nimbra Edge, the offering allows broadcasters, production companies, and media service providers to bring live media operations online in OCI, add cloud regions as requirements change, and connect those resources with the public internet, managed networks, and existing on-premises infrastructure.

The significance goes beyond simplifying cloud deployment. Capacity can be established where a production needs it, scaled as requirements change, and reused across productions, events, and regions—enabling infrastructure to follow the production rather than defining where and how the production can operate.

“The opportunity is not to recreate the fixed broadcast facility in the cloud. It is to make the live media environment follow the production,” said Andreas Eriksson, CEO of Net Insight. “For us, Open Live Media is about removing the infrastructure boundaries that dictate where live media can be produced, transported, and operated. Making that model easier to access and deploy through Oracle Cloud Marketplace is an important step toward giving media organizations the freedom to build operations around the content and the production, not around the constraints of the infrastructure.”

“Live video places very different demands on cloud infrastructure, particularly for high-throughput, event-driven workflows,” said Kip Schauer, Sr. Product Manager, Media Partnerships, OCI Media Services at Oracle. “Bringing Net Insight’s live media orchestration to Oracle Cloud Marketplace helps reduce the friction between selecting a solution and putting it into operation on OCI, while providing a simpler deployment path for data-intensive media workloads.”

The new Oracle Cloud Marketplace availability builds on live operations using Net Insight technology with OCI. Globecast uses Net Insight’s Nimbra Edge for the global IP distribution of Premier Padel, while Globecast’s Content Exchange platform is powered by OCI, with Premier Padel as its first major live production deployment on the infrastructure.

Net Insight Showcases Open Live Media for Controlled Live Services at IBC2026

Net Insight

Net Insight Showcases Open Live Media for Controlled Live Services at IBC2026

Stockholm, Sweden – September 9th, 2026 – At IBC2026, on booth 1.B47, Net Insight will showcase Open Live Media, its architecture for delivering resilient live media services across networks, partners, facilities and cloud environments. As production workflows become more distributed, Open Live Media keeps the service constant — giving broadcasters, production companies and media service providers consistent visibility, resilience and control, even as the infrastructure underneath changes.

As live production becomes more distributed, the challenge is no longer simply moving more media or adding more bandwidth. A single live service may cross multiple networks, suppliers, production environments and cloud platforms — each with its own capacity, routing, security and operational model.

Open Live Media addresses this issue by putting the media service above the underlying connectivity. Nimbra Live Intelligence provides service-level visibility, orchestration, monitoring and assurance across the workflow, including insight into underlying capacity and timing behavior. Nimbra Live provides the deterministic transport, processing and resilience required to execute the service, with capabilities including path and link diversity, hitless protection and scalable service-aware transport.

When live media crosses independently managed environments, Trust Boundary provides a controlled IP media service handoff between domains. It preserves native RTP/IP whenever transformation is not required while maintaining service separation, adaptation and operational control — allowing each domain to remain independently engineered.

“The next challenge in live media is not simply more bandwidth. It is maintaining the same operational certainty when a service crosses different networks, partners, facilities and clouds,” said Andreas Eriksson, CEO of Net Insight. “Open Live Media makes the service constant. The infrastructure underneath it can change, while visibility, resilience and control remain consistent from end to end.”

At IBC2026, Net Insight will show this architecture in practice from the production edge to the media core — including the new Nimbra 1020 for access and controlled interconnect, ultra-low-latency HEVC for remote and centralized production, high-density JPEG XS and ST 2110 workflows, and Nimbra 1060 for service-aware 100G/400G transport. Nimbra Edge and Nimbra Live Intelligence extend orchestration, visibility and control across the complete service.

Net Insight and DMC expand repeatable remote production model for European football

Net Insight

Net Insight and DMC expand repeatable remote production model for European football

Stockholm, Sweden – September 8th, 2026 – Net Insight today announced that DMC Production Norway is continuing the use of its Open Live Media technology for premium European football, deploying Nimbra 520 and Nimbra Edge for the UEFA Europa League play-off between Lillestrøm SK and KF Egnatia at Åråsen on August 27th. The production builds on DMC’s successful use of the same workflow at Blinkfestivalen and subsequent European football production in Tromsø. It demonstrates how broadcast-quality HEVC contribution over Internet- and cloud-enabled infrastructure can support demanding live sports production, with greater flexibility and production efficiency.

The production at Åråsen included eight system cameras covering main, close-up, offside, behind-goal and studio positions, supported by two super slow-motion cameras and an ENG camera. Nimbra 520 provided high-quality HEVC contribution, while Nimbra Edge enabled DMC to orchestrate and manage the live workflow centrally.

The setup is designed to simplify how distributed live productions are deployed and operated. Rather than managing individual infrastructure components separately, DMC can use Nimbra Edge to coordinate the contribution workflow as one controlled live service — reducing manual setup while maintaining the quality and operational control required for premium sports production.

“What matters to us operationally is being able to run a demanding production without adding unnecessary complexity for the team,” said Trond Hermansen, Group CTO, DMC Production. “With high-quality HEVC contribution and centralized orchestration, we can manage the workflow with the quality and control we need while keeping the setup straightforward for the people operating it.”

DMC has been at the forefront of centralized remote production in the Nordic region for several years, producing hundreds of live sports events annually and operating dedicated centralized production infrastructure in Norway and across the Nordics. The model enables production teams and key resources to be centralized while cameras and selected equipment remain at the venue.

“This collaboration builds on the joint projects we initiated in Denmark in 2024,” said Andreas Eriksson, CEO of Net Insight. “With Blinkfestivalen, we took the next step by enabling a 17-camera centralized remote production over the public internet, without compromising broadcast quality. We are now taking those learnings further and showing how this model can create greater flexibility and efficiency across more live productions.”

For Net Insight, the continued deployments demonstrate a broader evolution in live production. As premium sports production increasingly spans venues, Internet connectivity, cloud environments and centralized production facilities, the value moves beyond the performance of individual devices. The focus shifts to how efficiently the complete live service can be deployed, controlled and operated across the entire workflow.

From BLINK to European football, the proof is increasingly simple: when the workflow works, the next production is already waiting.

Net Insight launches Nimbra 1020G to extend high density Broadcast IP beyond the media core

Net Insight

Net Insight launches Nimbra 1020G to extend high density Broadcast IP beyond the media core

Stockholm, Sweden – September 3rd, 2026 – Net Insight today announced Nimbra 1020G, a compact, ultra-dense addition to the Nimbra Live portfolio that combines IP media processing, switching and controlled interconnection in a modular 1U platform - helping customers scale live IP media workflows more efficiently across facilities and production environments.

Net insight’s Nimbra 1020G combines open standards and APIs with Net Insight’s Trust Boundary technology, enabling broadcasters, production companies and media service providers to extend Broadcast IP without overbuilding infrastructure.

As live production becomes more distributed across venues, partners, facilities and cloud environments, IP workflows increasingly need to extend beyond the media core without bringing core-scale footprint, power and cost with them.

“The value of Trust Boundary is that organizations can exchange live media without sharing network design, investing in complex integrations or adding conversion.” said Larissa Görner-Meeus, CPO of Net Insight. “With Nimbra 1020G, that controlled handoff can now be placed wherever services enter or leave the network.”

Nimbra 1020G addresses this need in a compact 1U modular platform, supporting up to 64 channels of 2110 JPEG XS compression and 600 Gbps of lossless Ethernet switching. This increases service density while reducing rack space, power, external switching requirements and cost per live service. Built around the Nimbra Media Pro App architecture, Nimbra 1020G can adapt across contribution, remote production, facility connectivity, partner interconnect and distribution access.

“True scale means being able to deploy the same trusted technology from small edge installations to data-center environments.” said Andreas Eriksson, CEO of Net Insight. “Nimbra 1020G gives customers an efficient way to put high-density processing, switching and control where they need it, while retaining the flexibility to adapt as workflows change.”

A key differentiator of Nimbra 1020G is the always-enabled SMPTE RP 2129 Trust Boundary. It creates a secure demarcation between independently operated media networks, allowing organizations to exchange live media services while retaining full control of their own addressing, multicast architecture, security policies and orchestration. To maintain service resilience and interoperability, full media payload and timing is always preserved through each Trust Boundary.

With demarcation from 1G to 100G Ethernet, Trust Boundary combines per-service admission, address adaptation, strict QoS control and real-time flow monitoring. One application handles the full range of media flows, from compressed transport streams to uncompressed 2110 UHD essences. Up to 128 lossless Ethernet switch instances provide guaranteed QoS, fine-grained traffic isolation and workflow aggregation for any broadcaster or service provider workflow.

Nimbra Live Intelligence adds service-level visibility, control and assurance, giving operators real-time insight as live services are added, rerouted or changed. This enables more dynamic, software-driven operations while maintaining operational control.

For existing Nimbra operators, compatibility with Nimbra 1000 modular hardware and the Nimbra Media Pro App family provides a direct expansion path, allowing customers to extend on the infrastructure rather than introduce a separate platform.

Nimbra 1020G adds a new scale point to Nimbra Live, complementing Nimbra 520 for HEVC contribution and Nimbra 1060 for high-capacity media processing. Together with Nimbra Edge and Nimbra Live Intelligence, it extends Net Insight’s Open Live Media architecture across contribution, access, aggregation, controlled interconnect, core and distribution.

Net Insight will demonstrate Nimbra 1020G and Open Live Media at IBC2026, Booth 1.B47, RAI Amsterdam, September 11–14.
