Net Insight expands in APAC to further grow the time synchronization business

Stockholm, Sweden Net Insight expands partnership with Tekmark Group in Malaysia and the Philippines as well as Vietcoms in Vietnam, to accelerate growth in the APAC region. Both partners will invest in pilot systems of the GNSS-independent time synchronization solution Zyntai, to pursue further opportunities in their respective markets, advancing Net Insight's position in the rapidly growing Asian market. The pilot systems will be delivered in Q4, 2024.

The Asia-Pacific region (APAC) is a dynamic and rapidly growing market, leading the global rollout of 5G technologies. Experiencing robust economic growth, the Philippines aims to expand 5G coverage to 40% of the country by 2030, potentially boosting the country's GDP by up to 1%. Malaysia is making significant strides in its 5G deployment. In addition to its 5G expansion, the country is gearing up to showcase its technological prowess as it prepares to assume the ASEAN chairmanship in 2025. Similarly, Vietnam, with an annual GDP growth forecast of 10% from 2023 to 2030, is emerging as a key technology market. Mobile broadband revenue, driven by 4G and 5G adoption, is expected to outpace subscription growth.

Leveraging long-standing market presence, Tekmark and Vietcoms are poised to capitalize on these opportunities, partnering with telecom operators to help fuel digitalization with Net Insight's time synchronization solution. Tekmark has an established presence in both the Malaysian and the Philippine markets, while Vietcoms brings over 15 years of experience delivering leading technical solutions in the Vietnamese market. Both partners have a long and successful partnership with Net Insight in media.

"Tekmark is thrilled to be a strategic partner of Net Insight in Malaysia and the Philippines and we see a strong business opportunity for the 5G time synchronization business," says Dato' Ralph Khor, Group Managing Director at Tekmark Group. "By combining Net Insight's expertise with our in-depth market knowledge, this partnership is set to deliver unparalleled value to stakeholders in this region."

"We are proud to collaborate with Net Insight in delivering their world-class time synchronization solution to the Vietnamese market," says Khang Do, CEO at Vietcoms. "Our partnership allows us to address the growing demand for reliable and precise 5G infrastructure, which will empower our customers to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving technological landscape."

"APAC is a fast-growing market in 5G and this further strengthens our capabilities in the region," says Per Lindgren, Group CTO and Head of Synchronization at Net Insight. "We are proud to work with strong partners like Tekmark and Vietcoms to accelerate the reach and capabilities of Net Insight in the growing APAC telecom market. These orders show their commitment and strong belief in our Zyntai product and the time synchronization market opportunity."

Net Insight

Net Insight wins order for national time distribution network in South Africa

Stockholm, Sweden – Net Insight has secured an order for approximately 50 units of the GNSS-independent time synchronization solution Zyntai from its reseller GDS Technologies in South Africa for the new end-customer Synch Industries. This is the first Zyntai order in South Africa and the order was received and will be partially delivered in Q4, 2024, and in 2025, as a first phase of the network.

Net Insight's South African reseller partner GDS Technologies and the new end-customer Synch Industries have selected Net Insight's innovative Zyntai solution, based on the synchronization technology Precision TimeNet, to facilitate GNSS-independent time distribution throughout South Africa.

After a successful Proof of Concept (POC) process, the order was received and will be partially delivered in Q4, 2024 and in 2025. This is the first phase of the network, and it consists of approximately 50 units of the GNSS-independent time synchronization solution Zyntai. With this order, Net Insight is expanding its geographical presence and affirming the resilience and versatility of the solution, enabling new monetization opportunities for operators while securing national critical infrastructure.

Synch Industries is committed to building a national time distribution network free from GNSS-dependency. They will offer Time as a Service (TaaS) to a wide range of industries, such as telecom, media companies, fintech, data centers and power utilities. The implementation of GNSS-independent time distribution will strengthen national resilience and eliminate reliance on foreign influence in this vital national service. The network will go live in Q1, 2025 and the plan is to expand it further during the year.

"We are thrilled to achieve this technologically advanced network through the collaboration with Net Insight and GDS Technologies and we are excited to see that the project is in its final stages of going commercial," says Neeren Ramharakh, Founder and CEO of Synch Industries. "In an increasingly interconnected world, the demand for precise, accurate, and secure time has never been more critical. Our commitment to providing a trustworthy source of time lays the foundation for businesses to thrive, enhance their operational efficiency, and forge ahead in the digital age."

"We are very proud to welcome a new customer in time synchronization, which serves as a strong testament to the relevance and the growing demand for our solution. This milestone opens a new market and creates opportunities in this region," says Per Lindgren, Group CTO and Head of Synchronization at Net Insight. "We look forward to teaming up with GDS Technologies and Synch Industries to create a network for distribution of national time in South Africa."

Net Insight increases inventory levels to secure future component supply

Net Insight

Net Insight increases inventory levels to secure future component supply

Stockholm, Sweden – In line with previous communications, the product lifecycle for programmable circuits (FPGAs) has been shortened. To secure component supply, Net Insight has decided to temporarily increase inventory levels of these circuits. The total order value is estimated at USD 79 million.

FPGA circuits are a key component in Net Insight's media products, providing the hardware with increased flexibility through possible post-manufacturing reprogramming. The rapid technological advancements, not least the rise of AI, have shortened suppliers' product lifecycles for these circuits. In order to secure Net Insight's delivery of media products during a transition period, the company has decided to temporarily increase the inventory levels of the current generation of FPGA circuits above normal levels.

The purchase of FPGA circuits will be carried out in stages, with a total procurement cost of 7–9 million USD. The company will obtain a discount that will compensate for the increased capital tied up in inventory. The purchases will be financed using cash reserves and are expected to commence during the second half of 2025, with the final delivery estimated by the end of 2025.

By acting proactively, Net Insight minimizes potential delivery risks and can continue to meet the growing demand for its media products.

LG U+ selects Net Insight for new nationwide IP media network

Stockholm, Sweden – LG U+, a leading mobile network operator in South Korea, and a new customer to Net Insight, will leverage Net Insight's Nimbra platform for a nationwide IP media network. The deal that was won and finalized earlier this year, means Net Insight's position within IP in the rapidly growing South Korean media market is strengthened and the network provides LG U+ with a foundation for cutting-edge media transport.

The deal from the new prominent customer LG U+, was won and finalized earlier this year together with Net Insight's Korean partner Sanam Technology and strengthens Net Insight's market position in a fast growing market. Due to contractual reasons, it could only be disclosed after its completion. The order value was not significant but the win highlights Net Insight's leadership in delivering reliable, scalable, and future-proof media transport solutions that cater to the developing needs of the media industry. LG U+ will benefit from a solution that bridges the traditional workflows with the growing shift towards IP-based media workflows, ensuring seamless operations, ease of use, and future adaptability.

The IP Media Trust Boundary enhances media traffic control with automated routing, real-time stream monitoring, multi-layered network segmentation, and seamless adaptation of data flows, ensuring robust and agile IP network interconnectivity.

"We chose Net Insight as our trusted vendor due to its long-standing reputation for delivering dependable, future-proof solutions that advance with the industry," says Hyo-sik Shin, Team leader at LG U+. "Net Insight's versatile media transport technology makes it easy to bridge the gap between SDI workflows and the new IP media world, ensuring we are prepared for the future of media production and distribution."

"For over 15 years we have relied on Net Insight's solutions as a cornerstone of our offerings. Its technology has consistently proven to be stable and reliable, earning the trust of our clients year after year," says Jeong-seon Oh, CEO at Sanam Technology. "Partnering with Net Insight means we can deliver dependable, high-performance solutions that our customers count on."

"Providing this transformative nationwide media network in partnership with Sanam strengthens our market position in this growing market, fully aligning with our strategy of reinforcing our leadership in IP media technology," says Crister Fritzson, CEO of Net Insight.
