Net Insight launches new Zyntai synchronization product portfolio optimized for 5G and mission critical services

Stockholm, Sweden – Net Insight today announces the launch of the new Zyntai portfolio for next generation synchronization solutions. The Zyntai product family will provide GNSS/GPS independent synchronization to 5G mobile and mission-critical networks in an exceptionally scalable, reliable, and cost-effective way.

The Zyntai products provide a complete synchronization solution with advanced algorithms and analytics to ensure high service security and availability and dramatically reduce CAPEX and OPEX for network operators.

"Our goal is to enable faster, more secure, and cost-efficient 5G rollouts for the world's mobile operators and help support mission-critical services and applications with high security and reliability," says Crister Fritzson, CEO of Net Insight. "With the Zyntai portfolio, we enable mobile network operators to achieve the 5G promise of new high-value real-time critical enterprise services and help them secure their 5G RoI (Return of Investment)."

"We have worked in close cooperation with our strategic partner Türk Telekom to gain the operator's perspective and in-depth insight on how to achieve cost-efficiency in delivering accurate time to thousands of base stations, and managing large heterogeneous 5G networks," says Per Lindgren, Group CTO and Head of Sync at Net Insight. "While our primary market is 5G networks, the Zyntai products support all markets requiring accurate time synchronization independent of GNSS/GPS with high security and reliability."

"With Zyntai we can provide an extremely reliable, predictable, and consistent synchronization solution based on open standards and open APIs. The solution effectively handles asymmetries and traffic variations, keeping accurate time intact and available anywhere in the network," says Hans Sjöstrand, Product Manager, Sync Products at Net insight. "5G is the first mobile generation that is cloud native and Zyntai's open and disaggregated design allows synchronization to be kept separated from the underlying network, enabling operators to become more vendor independent and avoid large and costly network upgrades."

Net Insight's Zyntai platform - technical functions and benefits:

  • Zyntai delivers full PTP (Precision Time Protocol) timing support to the network edge over leased lines and existing IP infrastructure without requiring PTP enabled infrastructure, drastically reducing cost, and accelerating 5G rollouts.
  • The Zyntai products are fully GNSS/GPS independent and meet the high security, redundancy, and regulatory requirements for network equipment in mission critical networks.
  • The Zyntai platform is based on a modern open microservice architecture to guarantee flexibility, scalability, and operational simplicity even with thousands of network devices.
  • The advanced streaming telemetry includes over a hundred different synchronization metrics with nanosecond accuracy, which are constantly made available both via APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and to the centralized Zyntai Director.
  • Based on a design for easy and optimal scalability, the Zyntai solution is very flexible bringing both core and access TimeNodes to support efficient time synchronization anywhere in the 5G mobile and critical network.
  • Together with Net Insight's partner Meinberg, the Zyntai products provide a complete, industry hardened IEEE1588v2 PTP stack supporting both telecom, media, and power utility profiles to effectively combine accurate time distribution and PTP delivery.

Net Insight wins synchronization order for critical network

Net Insight

Net Insight wins synchronization order for critical network

Stockholm, Sweden – A new government customer in Europe has placed an order for Net Insight's 5G synchronization solution at a value of SEK 1 million, as an initial phase deployment.

The new customer's solution required GNSS independence, the ability to handle heterogeneous and challenging network environments and to function with military grade encryption. Careful evaluation on the customer's part showed that Net Insight's Precision TimeNet was the only alternative that could match all the specific conditions. The competitive advantages are its unique overlay qualities combined with high accuracy and security even over an extended network, including embedded encryption.

"Even though this is a new customer segment for Net Insight's 5G synchronization, it also shows the fusion of networks, services and applications that 5G and 6G enables. The requirements are strict, as the network synchronization is supporting critical services and we are pleased and excited that our solution has proved itself to be performing under these challenging environments," says Crister Fritzson, CEO of Net Insight.

"Who you are matters": Net Insight addresses the future of hybrid media technology

Net Insight targets information that could be limiting the effective adoption of cloud and IP technology

Stockholm, Sweden — Net Insight aims to engage audiences around the world to adopt hybrid workflows seamlessly, reliably, and efficiently. The "Who you are matters" marketing campaign puts customers at the center, giving broadcasters, production companies, and service providers the information they need to unlock the benefits and challenges of cloud and IP.

"Businesses striving to deliver major sports, news, entertainment, and corporate events to audiences worldwide face very different challenges depending on the type of event, the services they offer, and their existing technology infrastructure. The first issue often identified by the industry is the fast-evolving, crowded media market — there are so many vendors, products, and services to evaluate," said Yaya Selva, Global Marketing Director at Net insight. "Our mission is to provide the right information, at the right time, through the right channels. We're also calling on the industry to reconsider the way we all communicate so that we can collectively empower more organizations to focus on their foundation and infrastructure to make it scalable and future-proof."

"Who you are matters" because everyone looking to deliver media has unique business and operational requirements. When it comes to choosing the right solution, one size does not fit all. Companies have to navigate technical demos, case studies, and solutions to find the real business benefits. This could impact the speed and success of innovation as they may hesitate to transition to cloud and IP or opt for solutions that may not be the most suitable for their needs.

Net Insight's campaign is built around streamlined information designed to enable everyone, regardless of their technical knowledge, to find the right solutions they need to make informed decisions. Net Insight's solutions are clearly tailored to different media customer challenges and requirements, providing insight into various business goals, workflows, and technologies.

"The fast pace of innovation means that we all need to be able to rapidly access insight and expertise that helps us achieve our business goals," said Silvia Botella, Marketing Manager at Red Bee Media. "We applaud Net Insight's initiative to streamline the way technology is discussed. It would be brilliant to see more of an industry focus on providing educational content. By doing this, we can also support more people as they start a career in video production – which would help to address the need for more talents in the industry."

"It is one thing to discuss and predict the unknown future of media," said Stan Moote, CTO at IABM. "The challenge really is being able to unearth the right mix of products, services, and workflows along with industry specialists to assist you with dovetailing tomorrow's media and business needs into your day-to-day projects and workflows."

For 25 years, the world's leading content owners, broadcasters, production companies, service providers, and enterprises have trusted Net Insight to deliver the biggest sporting, news, entertainment, and corporate events to audiences worldwide. Net Insight's solutions are deployed by hundreds of customers in over 70 countries to keep their mission-critical media networks running smoothly. The world's leading brands – from The Switch and Tata Communications to Red Bee, LinkedIn, and Shanghai Media Group – rely on Net Insight to connect content to audiences.

Net Insight

Net Insight Interim Report January – September 2022

Strong earnings driven by high sales in the US and a strong dollar

"Substantial Nimbra Edge order is clear proof of our competitiveness in cloud."

The solid growth seen in the first six months continued into the third quarter. We continue to report strong earnings, despite an increasingly uncertain market. The growth is driven by strong sales in region Americas, we delivered larger orders to two of our customers of which one includes delivery of equipment for the 2022 Football World Cup in Qatar. Due to the large proportion of USD in the sales for the quarter, both revenue and earnings benefited from a significant positive exchange rate effect compared with the same period year-on-year. Revenue and earnings from the new product area 5G synchronization also contributed to the strong sales and earnings.
