"Who you are matters": Net Insight addresses the future of hybrid media technology

Net Insight targets information that could be limiting the effective adoption of cloud and IP technology

Stockholm, Sweden — Net Insight aims to engage audiences around the world to adopt hybrid workflows seamlessly, reliably, and efficiently. The "Who you are matters" marketing campaign puts customers at the center, giving broadcasters, production companies, and service providers the information they need to unlock the benefits and challenges of cloud and IP.

"Businesses striving to deliver major sports, news, entertainment, and corporate events to audiences worldwide face very different challenges depending on the type of event, the services they offer, and their existing technology infrastructure. The first issue often identified by the industry is the fast-evolving, crowded media market — there are so many vendors, products, and services to evaluate," said Yaya Selva, Global Marketing Director at Net insight. "Our mission is to provide the right information, at the right time, through the right channels. We're also calling on the industry to reconsider the way we all communicate so that we can collectively empower more organizations to focus on their foundation and infrastructure to make it scalable and future-proof."

"Who you are matters" because everyone looking to deliver media has unique business and operational requirements. When it comes to choosing the right solution, one size does not fit all. Companies have to navigate technical demos, case studies, and solutions to find the real business benefits. This could impact the speed and success of innovation as they may hesitate to transition to cloud and IP or opt for solutions that may not be the most suitable for their needs.

Net Insight's campaign is built around streamlined information designed to enable everyone, regardless of their technical knowledge, to find the right solutions they need to make informed decisions. Net Insight's solutions are clearly tailored to different media customer challenges and requirements, providing insight into various business goals, workflows, and technologies.

"The fast pace of innovation means that we all need to be able to rapidly access insight and expertise that helps us achieve our business goals," said Silvia Botella, Marketing Manager at Red Bee Media. "We applaud Net Insight's initiative to streamline the way technology is discussed. It would be brilliant to see more of an industry focus on providing educational content. By doing this, we can also support more people as they start a career in video production – which would help to address the need for more talents in the industry."

"It is one thing to discuss and predict the unknown future of media," said Stan Moote, CTO at IABM. "The challenge really is being able to unearth the right mix of products, services, and workflows along with industry specialists to assist you with dovetailing tomorrow's media and business needs into your day-to-day projects and workflows."

For 25 years, the world's leading content owners, broadcasters, production companies, service providers, and enterprises have trusted Net Insight to deliver the biggest sporting, news, entertainment, and corporate events to audiences worldwide. Net Insight's solutions are deployed by hundreds of customers in over 70 countries to keep their mission-critical media networks running smoothly. The world's leading brands – from The Switch and Tata Communications to Red Bee, LinkedIn, and Shanghai Media Group – rely on Net Insight to connect content to audiences.

Net Insight wins 5G Sync pilot order with a leading Canadian operator

Net Insight wins 5G Sync pilot order with a leading Canadian operator

Stockholm, Sweden – Net Insight's partner Geartech Technologies Inc has placed an order for a 5G pilot project with a leading telecom operator in Canada. The operator has selected Net Insight's 5G synchronization solution for a 5G pilot project. This is the first 5G sync win for Net Insight in North America.

The large telecom operator is rolling out a nationwide 5G network and needed a cost-effective network synchronization solution complementing GPS/GNSS for highest reliability and security. The ability to provide accurate time synchronization over its existing large IP network, reducing cost and complexity of time synchronization for 5G, were key reasons for choosing a pilot with Net Insight´s Precision TimeNet solution.

They have now placed an order for a pilot with five Precision TimeNet nodes, to test and evaluate Net Insight's solution for its 5G network. The order was won together with Net Insight's partner Geartech Technologies and will be delivered in Q4, 2022.

"Our GPS/GNSS independent 5G sync solution gains traction for reducing cost and complexity in 5G rollouts. This is an important step for us within 5G on the North American market," says Crister Fritzson CEO of Net Insight

Net Insight simplifies IP media adoption with advanced ST 2110 functions

Stockholm, Sweden — Net Insight announces the most significant upgrade to its Nimbra 1000 platform, introducing flexible and advanced ST 2110 functionality simplifying the adoption of all-IP workflows and safeguarding high-bandwidth media applications up to and beyond 100 Gbps.

"Our goal is to make things simpler for customers implementing IP media workflows, so that they can deliver critical media services and protect their investments as they transition to all-IP," says Crister Fritzson, CEO of Net Insight. "We want to enable customers in their journey to IP, regardless of whether they need to integrate into a new IP environment or upgrade an existing Nimbra network. With Nimbra – field-proven for over 20 years – we offer an all-in-one, plug-and-play, and future-proof integration of a full suite of functions for easy media management."

"We have developed a suite of functions to retain the trusted reliability and easy management of the Nimbra platform while enabling to build any type of IP-centric workflow using ST 2110, ST 2022-6 and connection with SDI in any combination of networks," says Christer Bohm, VP Product Management at Net Insight. "In addition, as media networks are more open and internet-connected, network access must remain tamper-proof, secure, and trusted. To this point Net Insight's IP Media Trust Boundary is included in this suite of functions, ensuring security is at the heart of every workflow."

"We trust Net Insight's ability to deliver the easy-to-operate and cost-saving IP solutions that we need to grow our business," says Andreas Langell, CEO of Mobilelinks. "Our next steps include the implementation of more Nimbra 1060 nodes and an upgrade from 600 Gbps to 1,200 Gbps on our existing Nimbra media network, in order to keep up with our customers' requirements of more bandwidth and additional locations."

Net Insight's suite of ST 2110 functions and benefits:
With Net Insight's enhanced suite of ST 2110 functions in the Nimbra platform customers can now safely and easily run up to and beyond 100 Gbps WAN network applications, including processing functions such as JPEG XS, JPEG 2000, and MPEG4. It comprises Net Insight's IP Media Trust Boundary for security and easy management, and full conversion between ST 2110, ST 2022-6 and SDI, which means unparalleled flexibility for organizations undergoing an incremental transition to IP workflows. This way the Nimbra 1000 platform can act both as an IP Gateway with up to 100 Gbps aggregation, or as a fully ST 2110-compatible MSR network.

Net Insight's IP Media Trust Boundary is a media safeguarding application that keeps media secure, monitored and compliant as it is transported across networks domains. Some of the core functions that Net Insight's Trust Boundary includes are real-time IP media monitoring, media protection, traffic control, flow replication, and the ability to scale up to 256 flows on a 100 Gbps network connection.

Three Sweden selects Net Insight's time synchronization for 5G rollout

Stockholm, Sweden – Mobile operator Three Sweden ('Three') has selected Net Insight for synchronizing its 5G network. The companies have worked in close cooperation and after extensive field evaluation of Net Insight's 5G time sync solution, Three has placed an initial order for Nimbra Time Nodes.

Time synchronization is mission critical for Three's 5G rollout and Three and Net Insight have the intention to enter into a frame agreement for a broader rollout in Three's mobile network. This is further validation of the competitiveness of Net Insight's 5G time synchronization technology to distribute time over existing networks, reducing costs and complexity in Three's 5G rollout.

"Net Insight's solution offers unique advantages as an alternative to GPS synchronization thereby creating redundancy and securing the availability of our 5G network," says Per Stigenberg, CTO of Three. "We have worked closely with Net Insight to verify the solution across our existing network and consider it a solid fit for Three's nationwide 5G synchronization."

"Three is known for using new technology that improves efficiency and quality of services. We are proud that Three, with its extensive expertise and forward-looking approach to 5G and time synchronization, has selected us and we look forward to a continued close cooperation," says Crister Fritzson, CEO of Net Insight. "Our mission is to enable faster and more secure 5G-rollouts for the world's mobile networks and offer an GPS-independent solution. This deal confirms our deep knowledge in precision timing technology."

The initial order value is approximately SEK 2 million and delivery of the Nimbra Time Nodes will take place in Q3, 2022.
