Net Insight at IBC 2007

"IBC 2007, 7-11 September 2007, Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Net Insight will exhibit at IBC2007 in Amsterdam. Come meet us in our booth 3.339. IBC is committed to providing the world´s best event for everyone involved in the creation, management and delivery of content for the entertainment industry."

Broadcastbuyer.tv skriver på sin sida vad Neti skall demonstrera:

Stand No. 3.339

Entertainment 2.0 has reached its tipping point. Media consumers can access high-quality content anytime, anywhere on virtually any device.

Net Insight is focusing IBC 2007 on Entertainment 2.0. The company’s Nimbra line of broadcast switches will showcase next-generation broadcast across several fronts:

HDTV 2.0: HD content has come a long way. Current networks are about to break the 1080p barrier for broadcasting HDTV, but is that enough? Net Insight will demo the next step in HDTV by streaming 4K HD content from Stockholm to the IBC show floor. It’s the next generation of HD delivery. TeliaSonera will provide the switched network and Astro will supply the 4K LCD sets.

IPTV 2.0: IPTV represents an opportunity for telcos large and small to compete against cable with triple-play services. Net Insight turbo-charges IP networks to offset jitter and latency issues. The Nimbra product line also breaks the price barrier. Telcos can band together through virtual IPTV headends to deliver top-quality services to subscribers at a fraction of the price. At IBC, Net Insight will demonstrate IPTV virtual headend architectures through customer scenarios.

Mobile TV 2.0: Mobile TV is pushing past the trial phase. The next step is widespread roll out. GPS, however, poses an issue. A simple GPS blocking device purchased on eBay can block GPS signals for 10 square miles. Net Insight overcomes GPS limitations by replacing it altogether. Nimbra leverages Net Insight’s advanced Time Transfer functionality that integrates time synchronization into the actual broadcast stream – no GPS required.

Digital Cable 2.0: The analog switch-off is fast approaching. The switch is pushing forward with DTT (digital terrestrial television) implementations across Europe. You can’t talk DTT without speaking to Net Insight. The company’s Time Transfer functionality ensures signal synchronization without placing faith in unreliable GPS. What’s more, Nimbra delivers up to 97% network bandwidth utilization at 100% QoS, which ensures that operators are getting the most out of their expensive spectrum investments.

Entertainment as we know it is about to fall. Net Insight is ushering in the age of Entertainment 2.0 at IBC 2007. The switch vendor’s executive team (including its founder) will be at the show to discuss next generation broadcast entertainment, including HDTV, IPTV, Mobile TV and Digital Cable."

IBC 2007 i Amsterdam kan bli riktigt intressant och skall hårdbevakas. Kanske läge att boka in flygbiljett och hotell redan nu? :)
